The papers were found in a house, in 2003, once occupied by Davison. Davison was a dedicated fan of Hammond, an Australian opera singer, who began her musical career as a violinist, spending three years with the Sydney Philharmonic Orchestra. New Zealand born opera singer who gained international acclaim during the 1940s and 1950s. After her retirement in 1965 she taught singing at the Victorian College of the Arts and was Artistic Director of the Victorian Opera Company, 1971-76.
